Take the car or the night train and hike in Åre
If you come by car, you have endless opportunities to go around and discover lots of nice strawberry places and well-kept hiking trails. Of course you park for free with us.
If you take the night train, you get on it in the evening and wake up at Undersåker station just in time for 08 o'clock. Then walk 300 m up to us at Hotell Åre Fjällsätra - here awaits a wonderful mountain breakfast with an incredible view of southern Årefjällen, with Välliste in the center.

Why hike in Åre?
Jämtland in general but Åre in particular is a hiker's paradise. The entire Åre Valley consists of fantastic nature with majestic mountains, mighty forests, beautiful lakes and there are miles of well-kept paths and hiking trails here. The hiking trails here in Åre suit both beginners and advanced hikers, so regardless of level or experience, you can enjoy a nice walk or a more challenging hike to the top of, for example, Åreskutan (the highest peak in the area) or to one of the other peaks in the area. Both the foot of Välliste, Ottfjället and Åreskutan are only about 10 minutes from the hotel.
In addition to the nature in Åredalen, Åre village is also a very charming place. With a lovely pulse and plenty of amenities such as several really good restaurants, bars and shops. So whether you're looking for a peaceful get-away or an adventure-filled holiday, Åre has something to offer everyone.
A hot tip from us is to check out the area around Södra Årefjällen. Är vandringslederna svåra att följa?
Alla vandringsleder är tydligt markerade och det finns leder som passar alla erfarenhetsnivåer, från nybörjare till erfarna vandrare.​
Behöver jag ta med egen mat ut på fjället?
Paketet inkluderar en picknicklunch som du själv packar från frukosten samt en dricka, en bit choklad och möjlighet att fylla på din egen medhavda termos med valfri varm dryck.
Hur tar jag mig till hotellet från tågstationen?
Hotellet ligger endast 300 meter från Undersåker station, en kort och enkel promenad som tar dig direkt till vår dörr.
Kan jag ta med mitt husdjur?
Ja, vi älskar djur! Vi har särskilda rum för dig som reser med husdjur och tillåter dem i alla allmänna utrymmen förutom en del i restaurangen.
Vad ingår i vandringspaketet?
Förutom boende, frukost, picknicklunch och två-rätters middagar så ingår också tillgång till vårt gym och våra två bastuar, samt tips för att hitta de bästa vandringslederna.
Hur bokar jag paketet?
Bokningen görs enkelt via vår hemsida eller genom att ringa direkt till oss. Vi hjälper dig med alla frågor du kan tänkas ha.
Är det möjligt att förlänga vistelsen?
Absolut, vi skulle bara vara glada att förlänga din vistelse baserat på tillgänglighet. Kontakta oss för mer information.
Hur långt i förväg bör jag boka?
För att säkra din plats rekommenderar vi att du bokar så tidigt som möjligt, särskilt under högsäsong som är i juli och augusti och helger i september
Vad händer om vädret är dåligt?
Vi erbjuder alternativa aktiviteter som bastu och gym, samt mysiga sittgrupper där du kan koppla av med en bok eller spel om vädret skulle vara dåligt. Det finns även en massageterapeut på hotellet. Henne bör man dock boka i tid.
Finns det parkeringsmöjligheter vid hotellet?
Ja, alla våra gäster har tillgång till gratis parkering direkt vid hotellet.

We love animals! We have five rooms intended for accommodation with pets.
Here on the website you can clearly see which rooms are intended for living in with pets, Pets allowedreads the text :)
Inside the hotel, pets are warmly welcome in all public areas except in the restaurant itself. If you want to eat with your pooch, you are warmly welcome to eat in the bar/bistro which is directly adjacent to the restaurant, it is a very cozy part of the hotel.
Our cancellation policy
Full payment is made at the time of booking.
For accommodation that is canceled 30 days or more before arrival, Åre Fjällsätra receives SEK 0.
For accommodation that is canceled 29 - 0 days before arrival, Åre Fjällsätra receives 100% of the booking value.
A booking fee of 10% of the booking value, will not be refunded if the booking is made by phone or email.
If the booking is made on the website, the full amount will be refunded if the cancellation is made within the cancellation policy.
Take out cancellation protection

You can cancel your booking up to 48 hours before arrival without a medical certificate if you sign up for cancellation protection.
You are offered to sign this protection in connection with your booking when you book with us at Hotel Åre Fjällsätra. Price for cancellation protection is 10% of the total booking value.
Cancellation protection only applies when it is signed and paid for at the same time as your booking. With cancellation protection, you can cancel by email to info@arefjallsatra.com up to 48 hours before arrival.
You will be refunded the full amount except the cost of the cancellation protection and the booking fee.
